Have an "email me" button on the directory to hide emails completed
In the directory, rather than displaying the email address, show a button (eg "email me")so that users can contact each other without revealing their actual email address to everyone.
This functionality was released in BBNC v5.5 (July 2008). The release includes a new Personal Messaging capability as part of our Wave Social Networking functionality.
This capability will extend to the Directory part and can be enabled to allow users to message each other without having to expose email addresses. This feature will also allow for messaging to constituents in The Raiser's Edge who might not be registered users in BBNC.

this seems like a rather bulky way to do it. having to create the whole Wave Social Networkiing part to do this seems like overkill, particularly when you need to "sign up" for it and add a user name. doesn't logically make sense for my end users.
